IDP: Instructor Development Program Training

The IDP is an ongoing program focused on developing and refining the skills of Krav Maga instructors. The goal of the Instructor Development Program is to train people how to teach Krav Maga, to pool together ideas, drills, concerns, and to further our understanding of Krav Maga. The IDP is perfect for those who want to become a Krav Maga instructor but are still working on their own P-level Krav Maga training.

IDP meets monthly, with each session lasting three hours. In these sessions, we cover teaching techniques and philosophy for Krav Maga P1-P4. There will be lectures, brainstorming, and practicing lessons learned, such as preparing warm ups and effective teaching techniques. Those who satisfactorily complete the 10 month Krav Maga instructor training program will receive an Assistant Instructor certification which can be used with the KMIC certification. Current instructors attend year round.
