Carl started training at the Krav Maga Institute in 2012 and quickly became avid about its core emphasis on function, expediency, and simplicity: “the solution must be simpler than the problem.” He is graduate level certified instructor and has been teaching group and private lessons since 2014. Carl holds a BSW and an MA in public policy and has done homeless outreach on the streets of Washington DC, Oakland, and San Francisco for 17 years.
