Emiliya Umrykhina

Ukrainian-born was first introduced to martial arts at the age of 13 by colluding with her father who signed her up for Shotokan karate without telling the rest of her family (grades before sports was the law then). Since then, Emiliya’s martial arts exposure broadened to include Judo and Muay Thai (competed in both sports). Emiliya joined the Tactica family in 2016 and is teaching Combat Cardio classes at Tactica’s Santa Clara location. The objectives she establishes for her classes are: building a strong team and pushing her students to the limit. Emiliya absolutely loves dogs and hopes to buy a lot of land someday so she can adopt all the dogs she wants. Cooking and baking are her other passions. Emiliya’s “other” job is with Academic Affairs at Stanford University (very cryptic title, I know). Tactica is Emiliya’s second home and you can always find her there.
