Jimmy Yi

After a particularly threatening incident,  Jimmy and his girlfriend were left feeling extremely unsafe in their home and on the street.

In hopes of loosening the grip of fear they felt, Jimmy wanted to empower himself and his girlfriend to prepare for what may come. He remembered Krav Maga’s reputation for being an effective smash-and-grab approach to self-defense and sought out the nearest school in SF.

From his first class at KMI, he fell in love with Krav and attributes his instructors for his rapid growth and development as a practitioner.

In 2020 with the increase of hate crimes against the AAPI community, he was propelled onto the path of becoming an instructor compelled to give to others what had been gifted to him by his instructors: Peace.

Peace in knowing that they too can handle any threat that may come for them.
