F.I.R.S.T. Pistol Safety for Women

We debut our Non-live fire Women’s handgun safety course on September 19.

Registration will open on August 1.

F.I.R.S.T., “Firearm Instruction, Responsibility, and Safety Training”, is short-form program originally developed by the NRA to meet the need for a firearms orientation program for new or interested gun purchasers and shooters.

This F.I.R.S.T. program is a basic course focused on fundamental shooting skills, and the specifics of the modern semi-automatic pistol.

F.I.R.S.T. Pistol is designed to provide a hands on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation of the semi-automatic pistol. This course is two and 1/2 hours long and includes classroom and range time on the KMI simulation range. In addition to dry fire exercises, we will be utilizing extremely realistic, NON-LIVE FIRE, mil-sim spec training pistols (Glock and Sig Sauer) based on Airsoft gas blow back technology.

Students will learn the rules for safe gun handling; the pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning and safe storage of the pistol; and continued opportunities for skills development.

See the full course description for more details.
