Israeli Tactical Point Shooting (ITPS) 1

SOLD OUT

ITPS is the Israeli method of Tactical Point Shooting. ITPS is the shooting style of all armed branches of the Israeli security forces: Yamam (special counter-terrorism unit), Shin-Bet (security service unit), elite IDF units including the Lotar Eilat, Israeli National Police, and other intelligence and counter terrorism units.

ITPS is regarded as a tactical response and incorporates all necessary progressive battlefield tactical thinking molded into a set of instinctive actions and reactions. It is different from other combat techniques and is based on actual performance. ITPS is practiced and perfected during daily performance by its core users.

During this one day introductory course run by IzDan Security Academy, the trainee will be presented with the best features used in the Israeli handgun combat system. Trainees will learn fundamentals of urban fighting, various concealed carry conditions, good peripheral vision, employment of lethal option tactics against multiple threats, shooting with one and two hands and progressing to advanced close combat fighting techniques.

Testimonial:

I was nervous about taking the course. The last time I shot a gun was in 2000 and it was a shotgun I used to hunt quail. I had never fired a semi-automatic pistol. The day before the class I was questioning myself as to why I was taking it. I don't even own a handgun. At the class I was loaned a gun which was right handed and I am left handed. I learned how to fire a semi-automatic pistol with my right hand and do it safely which is darn near a miracle (and is proof as to how good the instructors are)! Jeremy and Cal were patient and thorough with their explanations and took their time with me. Starting from zero I feel I learned a tremendous amount. I also realized how little I knew and need to learn. One thing I took away from the session is my new found respect for guns. The safety steps that were emphasized were excellent and helped me overcome much of my fear. I learned that guns are more complicated than the "average person" realizes. In my opinion training should be mandatory (I'm sure that might rankle some feathers). I also walked away with a profound respect for our military and law enforcement professionals. I can't imagine how they function so flawlessly during the intense pressure of combat. It was already challenging in a non combative situation. The class was excellent and I believe will benefit even the most experienced shooters.
